How Sports Gambling Is Transforming Fan Culture
In my SOC 367 (Sociology of Sport) research paper, I examined how the rise of legalized sports gambling has fundamentally transformed the fan experience, shifting engagement from passive viewing to constant, real-time investment. I argued that betting culture has changed how fans consume games, focusing more on statistics, odds, and individual outcomes rather than team loyalty. The paper also explored the broader social implications, including how gambling influences media coverage and the commercialization of sports.
When the World Cup Meets America
For my VIS 207 (Introduction to Graphic Design) course at Syracuse University, I created a scroll-based visual story exploring the impact and scale of the 2026 FIFA World Cup coming to North America. The project combined design, data, and storytelling to guide users through key information about host cities, cultural significance, and the tournament’s growing influence in the United States.

Coming Home: Sebastián Guenzatti’s Full-Circle Return to the Cosmos
For my JNL 211 (Cross-Media News Writing) class at Syracuse University, I wrote a player profile on Sebastián Guenzatti that focused on his journey from Uruguay to becoming a veteran leader for the New York Cosmos. The assignment helped me develop my interviewing and storytelling skills by combining quotes, background research, and narrative structure to highlight both his career and personal growth.
